BOX suffered a 49 run defeat in Gloucstershire and Wiltshire Division Two.
The visitors' seam bowlers were unable to make any inroads as the Lydney openers John Kerr (46) and Wayne Whitson (64) got the home side off to a good start. Mark Unwin took the bowling honours withfive for 49, as Lydney closed on 204 for eight.
Box faltered in reply to 49 for five, but recovered to reach 155 for eight, thanks to Tony Trotman (61) and Dave Crawford (27).
