SOUTH Wilts' disappointing recent run continued as they were heavily beaten at Bournemouth.
It completed the hosts' double over South Wilts for the season and probably signals the end of any lingering title hopes the Salisbury club held.
South Wilts have been plagued by the opposition's overseas player on numerous occasions this season and this again proved the case as Western Australian Adam Voges hit a sublime 92 not out and then took 4-45 to lead Bournemouth to an easy seven-wicket win.
On a dreadfully slow surface, South Wilts got off to a steady but slow start.
Paul Draper and Jamie Glasson took the score to 61 before Glasson, 23, fell.
After Jason Laney was given out to a surprising lbw decision and Draper went for 45, the innings stuttered along without any real impetus.
Russell Rowe made a patient 48, but with the defensive tactics employed throughout by Bourne-mouth, South Wilts were never able to break the shackles.
The score of 176 would only have been enough with some early wickets, but despite Alex Senneck removing Park early on, Tom Webley, 54, and Voges eased Bournemouth into control.
The quicker South Wilts' bowlers were not suited to such a dead surface, but Jimmy Seeary bowled well to give them some hope.
Skipper Rob Wade, still sidelined through injury, said: "If Voges had gone early, the outcome might have been different.
"But once he had played himself in, there was only ever one result."
Sixteen-year-old James Hayward is likely to make his first team debut on Saturday when South Wilts visit bottom of the table Calmore.
