Ref.10302FIVE-YEAR-OLD Jessica Wriggley has been chosen as the new face of the Wigglybus in the Pewsey Vale.
Jessica, who lives at Worton, near Devizes, is featured on a new timetable leaflet for Pewsey Vale services of the innovative demand-responsive bus service. Wiltshire County Council has also named one of its fleet of buses after her.
Members of staff from the county council's passenger transport unit met Jessica and her mum, Kirsty, by chance during a visit to Devizes.
Tim Reynolds, Wigglybus manager for Wiltshire County Council, said: "We were surprised to find out that Jessica's surname was Wriggley and thought she would be an ideal person to front the new Wigglybus timetable and information leaflet.
"We have also named a Wigglybus after Jessica and are pleased to be unveiling this along with plans for a naming competition for the remaining Wigglybus fleet of seven buses.
"The winning entries will receive a month's free pass on the Wigglybus for up to four people and will see their name on a bus. Entry forms and posters will be on the buses."
Wigglybus services have recently been expanded in the Pewsey Vale.
The new timetable gives details of all services, along with a simple guide on how to use the bus.
Copies of the timetable will be available from tourist information centres, parish, district and county councils, libraries and from the Pewsey Vale Transport Advisory Group from July 28.
