Ref.10221A LONDON-STYLE black cab will be plying its trade in Marlborough.
It has been the ambition of former care worker Hayden Warren, of Merlin Taxis, to own and run a traditional black cab.
He started in the taxi business in 2000 and last year took over the long-established Merlin fleet and name. Mr Warren said: "It has always been my ambition to have a London taxi and I am proud to have acquired one."
The five-seater TX 1 can turn in a remarkably short space, it is wheelchair accessible, and has a built-in child seat.
Mr Warren said: "I believe it will be kept busy because people can recognise it instantly as a cab and can hail it just like people do in the city."
He said he believed Merlin was the first taxi firm in the Marlborough area to use a London-style cab.
