Ref.10302FIVE-year-old Jessica Wriggley has been chosen as the new face of the Wigglybus in the Pewsey Vale.
The youngster, who lives near Devizes, is featured on a new timetable leaflet for the innovative bus's Pewsey Vale services. Wiltshire County Council has also named one of its fleet of buses after her.
Members of staff from the county council's passenger transport unit met Jessica and her mum, Kirsty, by chance during a routine visit to Devizes.
Staff were amazed by the co-incidence when Jessica told them her last name was Wriggley.
Tim Reynolds, Wigglybus manager for the county council, said: "We were surprised to find out that Jessica's surname was Wriggley and thought she would be an ideal person to picture on the front of the new Wigglybus timetable and information leaflet.
"We have also named a Wigglybus after Jessica and are pleased to be unveiling this along with plans for a naming competition for the remaining fleet of seven Wigglybuses, including three new Mercedes-Benz buses that will be arriving at the end of July."
Winners will receive a month's free pass on the Wigglybus for up to four people and will see their winning name adorning one of the Wigglybuses. Entry forms will be on the buses.
Mrs Wriggley said: "Jessica is absolutely delighted having the bus named after her. It was her fifth birthday two weeks ago and I can't have thought of a better present."
The name Wriggley is from Yorkshire where many of Mrs Wriggley's family hail from.
Wigglybus services have recently been expanded and the new timetable gives details of services.
Copies will be available from tourist information centres, parish, district and county councils, libraries and from the Pewsey Vale Transport Advisory Group from July 28.
