A LIFE-SIZE model of world famous engineer Isambard Kingdom Brunel can be seen at a new exhibition in Corsham Heritage Cen-tre.
Made by local sculptor Andrea Garrihy, the model is part of a display which shows Brunel's links with the north Wiltshire community.
Heritage centre co-ordinator Martin Yallop, who put up the exhibition, said: "The display explains Brunel's work on the railways in north Wiltshire.
"It is the principal feature and is an excellent likeness. Andrea used me as the model because I'm only 5ft 6ins tall, but we realised Brunel was only 5ft tall, so we had to lose six inches."
The life-size figure stands in the bay window of the heritage centre's Stone Room.
This is not the first time Mrs Garrihy has been commissioned for her skills. As part of a living sculpture exhibition, she made models of local residents which were placed around the town.
Mr Yallop said: "Andrea started up a workshop in the precinct and people have helped her there."
