WESTBURY residents have the chance to speak out at a public meeting about the use of Recycled Liquid Fuels (RLF) at the Lafarge cement works.
The cement giant has applied to the Environment Agency to trial recycled liquid fuels to heat the kilns at the Westbury works.
Now the Agency is holding a meeting at Matravers School, Westbury, on July 29, to discuss the application .
Alistair Gale, Lafarge spokesman, said: "It is important we have open dialogue with Westbury residents.
"If RLF doesn't meet the standards set by the Agency we won't get the permit, it's that simple."
The public meeting kicks off at 7.30pm, hosted by Philip Rees, independent chairman of the agency's regional environmental protection advisory committee.
Lafarge only has permission to trial RLF for a four-month period. If the trial is successful a full permit will be issued.
