SHADY characters helped raise cash for charity at the Bratton County primary school on Tuesday.
Pupils from the school council decided to hold a shades day in aid of Guide Dogs for the Blind.
Children and teachers took part and raised over £50.
Andy Bridewell, headteacher, said: "Having a school council means the children can take significant decisions themselves and get to see the results.
"They really like helping charities and helping people less fortunate than themselves."
"I was considering allowing them to wear the shades during lessons but I found it so difficult to read with mine on I had to change my mind."
Each term the school council chooses a charity to raise money for, including Comic Relief.
This term the children and teachers paid to wear their sunglasses during the main assembly and break times.
It was the second shades day held at the school.
