We use this service whenever we travel up to London about four or five times a year.
It is absolutely invaluable as otherwise we have to drive to Chippenham, pay an inflated car parking charge and a higher ticket cost.
As pensioners we have to pay our own rail fares and we cannot reclaim on expenses.
I cannot recall a single occasion when this train has not been packed full it must therefore run at a profit.
It makes no sense to cancel this train which is well used and which provides an essential service at a time when the government is trying to promote rail travel and to reduce the use of road transport.
