Ref. 13804THE Wiltshire selectors have decided to change a winning team for their quarter-final tie in the Middleton Cup.

Following three good wins in the qualifying stages, the selectors have made changes aimed at strengthening the side still further for the quarter final clash with Oxfordshire at Suffolk Square, Cheltenham, on July 26.

Two of the changes involve the return of the players who were unavailable for the Herefordshire game. Graham Hatherall comes in as two in Steve Warren's rink and Mike Jackson returns to play as two in Mark Dyer's rink. The other change is positional, with Tony Stevenson moving from Steve Warren's rink to play at two in Dave Snell's rink.

The selectors have stressed that at Middleton Cup level the game is very much a squad game and say all members of the squad have a valuable contribution to make to Wiltshire's success.

Team: Barry Sictorness (Wootton Bassett), Mike Jackson, Mel Biggs and Mark Dyer (all Westlecot); Mike Tyler (Amesbury), Russell Francis (Spencer Moulton), Keith Hutchens (Westinghouse) and Graham Shadwell (Spencer Moulton); Kevin Embling, Tony Stevenson (Westlecot), Mick Crook (Amesbury) and Dave Snell (Wootton Bassett); John Thomas (Westlecot), John Williamson (Wootton Bassett), Gary Morphet (Rodbourne Cheney) and Ian Jefferies (Westlecot); Michael Snell (Wootton Bassett), Chris Cheesley (Purton), Neil Hope (Westlecot) and Neil Smith (Wootton Bassett); Barney Fernandes (Swindon), Graham Hatherall (Westlecot), Steve Snell, (Wootton Bassett) and Steve Warren (Westlecot).

There is just one change from the team that won the regional finals at Bath, with Jamie Titcombe coming in for Jason White, who is unavailable.
