LETTERS SPECIAL: I always use this service when I go to London and have found it very reliable, clean and efficient, as well as (most importantly) very good value for money.
I cannot imagine why it was ever thought that this service should not continue. This is a plea for everything possible to be done to retain the service. It is such a pleasure to find something that works so well that seems to be the death-knell!

We write as two pensioners who regularly use Bradford on Avon-Waterloo trains.
Our family son, daughter-in-law and three grandchildren live in Dulwich. We do not drive except very locally in west Wiltshire.
We use the train to see our family and bring and take back our grandchildren. We very much hope the train will keep running it is invaluable.

We are pensioners who find this service invaluable. The fares are cheap compared with a train to Paddington. We value being able to book a seat and the times of trains are well suited to a day's visit to London. In order to travel to Paddington we need to take a train to Bath, or travel by car to Bath and occupy a parking space.
Waterloo is a far more convenient destination than Paddington. Most of the museums, theatres and other attractions are within walking distance, whereas a further journey on the Underground is necessary from Paddington.
