A COMMUNITY centre for children is preparing for a special visit on Tuesday. Barnardo's centre in Trowbridge which helps families on low incomes cope with children under 11 years old, is having a visit from west Wiltshire MP Andrew Murrison.
He will meet parents from Trowbridge, Westbury, Warminster and Melksham.
Liz Hall, Barnardo's children's services manager, said: "We are a focal point for many families in the community and we help children to make the most of their childhood."
The centre organises workshops for children on issues such as domestic violence and bereavement. Parents can also take parenting programmes and the centre runs fathers groups.
Liz Hall said: "The centre is always looking for volunteers to come and help at the centre. If you think you would like to offer support to a young mother, or help with the crche, call (01225) 751261."
