Two students were given an inside view of life in green when they spent five days with the army in Winchester.
Christina Borg, of Trowbridge, and Lindsey Walker, of Melksham, joined 40 students from the south selected to take part in the event designed to show youngsters what life could be like as an army officer.
The students spent their time working, eating and sleeping at Winchester's Army Training Regiment. The camp trains many of the army's new recruits giving the students an opportunity to see how life as a soldier really starts.
Christina, 16, and Lindsey, 17, were able to sample paint-balling, the assault course, shooting, problem solving and camping out overnight. As well as being fun the aim was to develop team and leadership skills.
Christina, a student at St Augustine's Catholic College, said: "I'm interested in joining the Royal Military Police because it would be such a challenge, combined with travel.
