BOSSES of a Swindon nightclub say they have no plans to close, despite the group being in administration.
Po Na Na Souk Bar in Theatre Square looks set to ride out the administration of parent company, Po Na Na Group plc, which first opened in 1995.
In 2001, as part of the consolidation of the nightclub sector, the group acquired DPL as well as seven clubs from Luminar plc and Hammersmith Palais.
By mid 2001 it was announced that both Hammersmith Palais and some of the clubs were underforming due to a downturn in the dance market and the explosion of similar concepts with late licences.
Last year, with the exception of Hammersmith, it was decided that the poor performing clubs had still not responded and that they should be disposed of along with four underperforming bars.
A group spokesman said high profitability figures for the Swindon club would ensure its survival.
