BBC Radio Swindon has launched a competition for pupils to design a new mural for the BBC offices in Prospect Place, Old Town.
Presenter Sandy Martin said: "This is a fantastic opportunity for local children to be creative and say what Swindon means to them in a picture."
Pupils at Commonweal, Brookfield Primary, Holy Family, Lainesmead Infants, Shaw Ridge Primary and Abbey Meads Primary schools have so far submitted entries.
Their designs feature subjects as diverse as Swindon celebrity Melinda Messenger to historic sites such as the Mechanics' Institute and the notorious Magic Round-about.
Mr Martin said: "We look forward to receiving lots more ideas. So far the entries are really impressive."
Pupils from infant, junior and secondary schools are invited to enter and a winner will be chosen from each of these age groups.
The deadline for entries is the end of the school summer holidays. Children from the winning schools will start work on their mural in September.
Entries should be sent to BBC Radio Swindon/BBC Radio Wiltshire, Prospect Place, Old Town, Swindon, SN1 3RW.
