Swindonians are being asked to nominate their favourite public place across the borough.
The Swindon Civic Trust has launched a competition for individuals and groups to send in their choices in the most imaginative ways possible.
Entries may take the form of poems, paintings, photographs, collages, videos or models. The chosen places may be buildings, parks, woods, or anywhere that has a positive effect on the competitor's spirits and is open to the public. Humorous entries are welcome, and all will be displayed in the former Railway Museum, in Faringdon Road, before the public votes for their favourites.
There will be cash prizes for the best entries.
Entry forms are available from Swindon Civic Trust, c/o Former Railway Museum, Faringdon Road, Swindon SN1 5BJ. The closing date is October 24. For details call John Monniot on 01793 715894.
