WILTSHIRE Ladies' hopes of reaching Leamington again and regaining the Johns Trophy are over for another year.
They won the inter-county championship title in 1995 but tumbled out this year at the quarter-final stage.
In the previous round they had thrashed Herefordshire by 61 shots but in the group final (last eight) against Hampshire played at Three Mile Cross (Berkshire) it was a totally different story.
Wiltshire only managed to win on two of the six rinks as they slumped to a 146-98 loss.
The only successful quartets were those skipped by Wendy Anderson (Rodbourne Cheney) and Janet Willis (Stratton Churchways).
