PARENTS using the Oasis Leisure Centre can relax knowing that their children in the crche are in good hands.
The crche and playscheme, run by Swindon Council, has received a top score in its inspection by Government education watchdog Ofsted. Inspectors said the staff work as a team and provide a safe and stimulating play environment.
Praise is given to the supervision of the children and on how well play is presented and planned, offering youngsters a wide variety of materials and activities.
Coun Just Tomlinson (Con, Abbey Meads) said: "This positive report is recognition for the hard work and dedication of the Oasis team.
"No effort is spared in making the children in the team's care have great fun in a safe environment."
The crche caters for people who wish to use the centre facilities and provides places for up to 12 children aged up to five years old and is open five mornings a week.
Captain Capers playscheme is open during school holidays from 8.30am to 4.30pm and is registered for 48 children from four to eight years.
