A SALISBURY teenager is to play on the hallowed grass courts at Wimbledon after reaching the national finals of a major junior competition.
Thirteen-year-old Bish-op Wordsworth's School pupil Nick Brown won the county final of the Road To Wimbledon event, defeating fellow Salisbury player James Brazier, 6-3, 6-2 at Dauntsey School.
The tournament, sponsored by the All England Club together with the LTA, was started last year in a bid to encourage clubs across the UK to support junior tennis.
This year's finals take place at Wimbledon from August 17-23.
Awaiting the winner is a week's training at the LTA's winter training base at La Manga, Spain.
