PEOPLE who were once unable to walk without sticks are now stepping out to help the unit that gave them back their mobility.
The wonders of modern surgery are responsible for repairing knees and giving patients a new lease of life.
Now many who have been helped are walking a mile to raise cash for the orthopaedic unit at Great Western Hospital where they were treated.
Perhaps those of us who are able-bodied and fit may join them on the walk you never know when you will need hospital treatment with the best equipment.
