Nomansland 212-8 bt
Twyford 133 all out
AFTER last week's poor display, Nomansland were a determined outfit in this top of the table clash at Twyford.
The visitors lost the toss and were asked to bat but saw Kevin Hayward depart early on.
Darren Grayer and Chris Walton then put together a useful stand of 85 in 22 overs before Grayer went for a fluent 47.
Lee Palmer entered the fray and dominated a stand of 65 in just nine overs before falling lbw for a sparkling 52 which included four fours and three sixes.
Walton completed his own half century before being caught for a fine 53.
Mike Covill, 17, was the only other double figure scorer as wickets fell in the late run chase.
Rose, 3-65, and Matt Gay, 2-42, were the main wicket takers as the visitors closed on a useful looking 212-8.
The home side made a cautious start against some accurate bowling from Jason Franks and Pete Loader, and were only 10-1 from ten overs.
This put the pressure on to quicken the scoring and led to some rash shots - all of which seemed to finish in a safe pair of hands.
Twyford slumped to 30-5 and it took a brave stand of 67 from hard hitters Scan Whitting and Bobby Sarker to give the home side a glimmer of hope.
Change bowlers Grayer and Hayward took a bit of stick early on in their spells, but when Sarker went - caught out on the boundary by Walton for 39, the writing was on the wall.
Hayward then bowled the dangerous Whitting for 51 and the remaining wickets soon followed to leave Nomansland victors by 79 runs.
Franks, 12 overs 1-24, Loader, 12 overs 3-31, Grayer, 2-40 and Hayward, 3-35, shared the wickets.
