CHIPPENHAM enjoyed a thrilling win over close rivals Westbury in the Bath League Cup.
Bolstered by some loose Chippenham bowling and fielding, Westbury reached an impressive 134-5. Simon Orchard 36 supported by Saeed Ibrahim 22 not out and Luke Morris were the main run scorers.
In reply Chippenham started solidly, with Liam Dawson scoring 21. With seven overs to go, Chippenham needed 62 but a powerful innings from Adam Croutear (49) brought the target in sight. but it needed a boundary from captain George Sykes to secure victory from the first ball of the last over.
