A CHIPPENHAM boys' football team urgently needs new players so they can continue to run two sides at under-13 level.
Last season FC Chippenham Youth ran two sides in the under-12 age group. However, the summer has seen some players move on to pastures new and the club will have to drop one of the sides for the forthcoming under-13 campaign if eight new footballers are not recruited.
Manager John Murphy said: "We only had one team a few years ago but there were some lads who didn't get a regular game which wasn't fair on them. We then got a second side up and running but now we don't have enough players to fill it and we need some new faces."
The club will kick-off the new season on August 30 but will hold an early training session for the current squad and any new players if there is enough interest.
Anyone who wants further details on joining FC Chippenham Youth under-13s should contact John Murphy on (01249) 816135 or chairman Arnie Highmore on (01249) 656555.
AFC CORSHAM under-12 boys football team are appealing for new players to join them for the new season.
The Mid-Wilts League First Division team currently have eight players on their books and need at least another five before the new campaign starts.
Anyone who wants to join the team should contact club secretary Carla Smith on (01249) 657711.
