The man who fell down the stairs of the Brunel Rooms nightclub is still fighting for his life.
The 23-year-old from Swindon is sedated at the Radcliffe Infirmary in Oxford.
He was apparently involved in a brawl at the club.
The Evening Advertiser's appeal for information prompted the two women shown on CCTV images to contact Swindon Police.
The women are to be interviewed by police officers this morning. Det Sgt Mark Smith said: "The women contacted us of their own accord and we will be speaking to them to further our inquiries."
The victim was involved in an argument with the women outside the auditorium on the first floor of the club in the Brunel Shopping Centre, before he fell at around 2.15am on Sunday.
A doorman intervened and asked both parties to leave.
The women left but a struggle ensued with the man, which resulted in him falling down a flight of stairs with the doorman.
Police are waiting to interview the doorman, who escaped serious injury but is still in shock.
DS Smith said: "We will be speaking to him but have not yet had the opportunity to do so.
"Every effort is being made to ascertain exactly what happened and we hope to conclude the investigation as soon as possible."
