Retailers and residents got together for an evening at Springfield School as part of a new initiative to raise awareness about Calne.
The town's chamber of commerce arranged the event, which was held earlier this month, to highlight the resources the town has to offer to new residents and businesses and get them involved in supporting the town.
But the chamber also wants to use the evenings, which will now become a regular event, as a shop window to other towns in the area to show that Calne has a vibrant and growing economy, which is attractive to businesses.
The new president of the Calne Chamber of Commerce Louise Matthews, said: "The evening was a great success. The feedback has been very, very positive.
"Essentially the purpose of the meeting was to allow local people to network as well as highlight awareness about the school."
