MUSICIAN Nola Marshall and husband Steve were dining at the hotel Fawlty Towers, in the Gambia, when they heard Senegalese band Jelitara Futa for the first time.
The couple were so impressed that on their return to their home in North Street, Calne, they sent CDs of the seven-man group to several summer festivals, which signed them up.
Based at the Marshalls' home, the group has already performed at festivals in Frome and Marlborough, and is set to feature at the Big Green Gathering in Cheddar, Somerset, later this month.
Band members will return home at the end of the summer, but Mrs Marshall said all the festivals want the band back next year, and Glastonbury has also expressed interest.
