DEVIZES Town Hall was packed on Saturday night for the silver jubilee concert of Devizes Chamber Choir, conducted by David King.
The audience of supporters was entertained by some glorious singing, accompanied by Tim Hutchings on the piano.
The programme included favourites from past concerts, including Just as the Tide was Flowing by Ralph Vaughan Williams to Porgy and Bess by George Gershwin. The programme also included a magnificent rendition of Charles Villiers Stanford's The Blue Bird and the choir gave a splendid performance of King of Glory, written by David King especially for the concert.
The Nova Recorder Ensemble, a group of talented and skilful young musicians directed by Michael Oliver, contributed to the celebrations by performing a lively repertoire.
There are vacancies in the choir at the moment. For details ring (01380) 840338.
