SCHOOLchildren who are hungry to learn got their teeth into brand new encyclopaedias on Wednesday.
All year six pupils at St Patrick's RC School, Corsham, were presented with the books at the schools final assembly before the summer holidays.
The 28 pupils are all leaving for secondary school this summer.
Headteacher Kieran Loftus said: "The idea is that when these children move on they will be eager and hungry to learn.
"We gave the children encyclopaedias last year and their parents were all pleased to see they were using them at their new school."
The encyclopaedias were all bought from Corsham Book Shop.
The books are designed as a homework study and include topics such as humanities and biology.
