AS I sit down and contemplate the last two weeks of what has been a very busy year, culminating in nearly 200 pupils going out on work experience, I cannot get over the generosity and assistance I have received in placing these students both in the local community and wider areas.
I would like to thank all the employers both in and out of the area who have been so very generous as to allow the students from our school to experience the world of work.
The benefits to the pupils can be beyond measure in helping them to mature into young adults and giving them a taste of real life, some students coming away with part-time jobs and in the past full-time employment.
Also I would like especially to thank those companies who take on extended placements over a longer period of time.
If any companies would like to offer placements in the future please do not hesitate to contact the school.
