TROWBRIDGE twins who began a videogames empire from their bedroom are being honoured in a TV show.

Former Clarendon School pupils, Philip and Andrew Oliver became teenage millionaires in the 1980s after making a number of hit computer games.

Now a TV documentary is charting their life in Trowbridge during the early days of the video game industry.

Philip Oliver said: "To be asked to participate in this documentary was a great honour and Andrew and I are humbled by the following that our early games still command.

"We may have started in a Trowbridge back bedroom but we're incredibly proud of the fact that we went on to build what is now one of the UK's leading games developers."

The twins, now 36, set up Blitz Games in Leamington Spa, Warwickshire in 1990, which they still run today.

They were the founders of the computer club at Clarendon School and went on to invent popular games such as Dizzy and the Simulator series.

Filming of the show took place in Trowbridge and Clarendon School earlier this year.

Game Headz: The Story of Computer Games will be shown on the Discovery Channel on August 3.
