The latest winner of the borough's Good Neighbour Award has asked to remain anonymous. But the man who nominated her said: "She is an amazing neighbour and a friend to many people in her neighbourhood.
She visits people in hospitals and care homes and fetches shopping for the house bound. She even invites people into her own home for Christmas the list is endless as are the number of friends who owe her so much." The woman did not miss out on the celebrations as she met Swindon mayor Derek Benfieldfor a private reception in his parlour.
