RADIO station Swindon FM has announced its first commercial sponsorship deal.
Monahans, an accountancy firm based in Old Town, has presented the station with £1,000 towards its development.
It currently broadcasts at weekends from 6am until 10pm, discussing issues around the town and playing a wide range of music.
Mike Shawyer, senior partner of Monahans, says there is a common link between the two concerns. "Monahans is proud to be a major player in Swindon's business community as well as demonstrate its support for local community and arts projects in the town," he said.
"Swindon FM's ethos of making these two areas part of its mandate is one we applaud and are delighted to lead the way in becoming the first local commercial concern to back its proposals."
The station has already lent its support to projects such as the Swindon Jazz Festival.
