BIG-HEARTED staff from NatWest in Swindon have given more than £10,000 to charity in the last 12 months, thanks to a new scheme.
Staff have been supporting both local and national charities by donating directly from their pay packets each month, under the Give As You Earn scheme. Bosses have been double matching any contributions.
Nigel Crutchley, regional managing director, said: "Payroll giving is a highly effective way to donate to charity.
"Money is taken straight from the employer, and the taxman adds on an extra10 per cent to each donation. For every pound donated the Bank will donate a further £2 so it is really a great way to donate money."
