Supporters of a Swindon cancer charity teed off to raise thousands of pounds for sick children.
The Children's Cancer and Leuk-aemia Movement, CALM, received £5,200 following its 10th annual golf day at the Wrag Barn course, in Highworth.
CALM patients Sarah Butcher, 15, of Ridgeway Close, in Moredon, and Benjamin McMahon, nine, of Cavie Close, in Nine Elms, teed off the competition, which attracted 112 golfers.
They were given a helping hand from Wrag Barn star golfer Martin Sell, 24, and also from Kooky the Clown who was tastefully dressed in his own special golfing clothes.
Benjamin said: "Seeing Kooky again was great. I couldn't stop laughing when I saw him in his funny golfing clothes."
The Mayor of Swindon Derek Benfield (Lab, Covingham and Nythe) joined the evening's prize giving, where the Halcrow team, comprising David Wood, Innes Flett, Martin Smith and Barrie Grice, picked up first prize.
Don Macarthur, CALM chairman, said: "Our 10th Wrag Barn golf day was definitely our best yet.
"In the past year, thanks to people's generosity, we have financed a new family support worker, and we have upgraded one of our two caravans, which are used to give families a much-needed break from treatment.
"With the money raised in this golf day we can look forward to our 20th anniversary in 2004 with confidence that we can keep all our services going and look to provide even more."
