Zurich pulled off the shock result of the week as gave themselves a lifeline in the Division One relegation battle by defeating Nationwide 1st at Pipers Way.
Batting first they scored 141-3, thanks mainly to Mark Bowles' 67. In reply Nationwide needed four off the last ball and unfortunately ended up three runs short on 138-7, with Mark Vincent's 45 the main contribution.
Compton shot out relegated Winterbourne for a lowly 51 and sailed to 52-0 and a 10-wicket victory.
Castrol batsmen all contributed to their total of 112-9 as S Smith took 3-33. Southwest in reply reached 113-3 with D Lloyd unbeaten on 54.
Crosslink edged closer to Division One cricket next season with a Division Two home win over Nationwide 2nd. Andy Flay took 4-30 and Steve Lewis 2-17 as Nationwide made 97-9, with Sandy Mellis hitting 35. In reply it was Freddie Roofe's 42 not out and a fine six in the penultimate over that took Crosslink to 100-4 and victory.
Fellow title-chasers Lydiard Millicent had a comfortable win over Talismen and condemned them to Division Three next season. Lydiard made 129-8 and then restricted the Talismen to 77-4.
Chameleon keep the top two on their toes following a three-run win over WH Smith. Chameleon made 118-5 with Fernandez top scoring on 62, and restricted WH Smith to 115-7 despite Clem Davey's battling 65 not out.
United Churches look favourites to drop into Division Three with Talismen after they failed to topple Wanborough's 98 all out and Richard Flock's unbeaten 47. Nick Stacey took 5-14 as Churches were bowled out for 82.
In Division Three, Ashbury were finally relegated after being beaten by near rivals Monahans. Paul French scored 61 as Monahans totalled 121, and then bowled out Ashbury for 105.
CS Nomads gained promotion with a 48-run win over Motorola.
Batting first, they scored 161-3 with Turner making an excellent 92 not out and C Edenborough 38.
Motorola were dismissed for 113 with J Khan hitting 51 as Turner proved man of the match with 3-10.
Sevenfields made 75-7 with Craig Hitchins taking 4-14. Fox & Hounds had little difficulty reaching 76-4, Andy Cook making 31 not out.
In Division Four, Nine Elms took a giant step closer to promotion in scoring 116-7 and beating Anchor who were shot out for 48.
Intel could still clinch that spot as they defeated lowly Phoenix by three wickets. Phoenix made 75-8 only to see Intel squeeze home on 77-7.
