WROUGHTON'S Mick Robins scorched his way to his second 200lb plus catch within 14 days when he weighed in a trawler's catch of 222lb of carp from the ever-prolific Bourton-on-the-Water.
There were an astonishing seven weights of over 100lb, with Derek Hillier taking 162-12 and Pete Sole third with 158lb.
The prolific end peg at Lakeside Devizes came up trumps again, this time for Cloverleaf's Kendal Barry in their Sunday pole-only match.
Using cat food, he stormed to victory with 98-12, well ahead of Dale Byrne's 19-10.Third was Ian Hammond who weighed in with 18-8-0.
Barry and teammate Bob Fletcher won the Pairs match.
Carp played a big part in the results of the Highworth ACs Alan Morton Shield match.
Fished at their Roughgrounds lake, Alan Cheesley took 15-3 to just beat Dave Biles 14-7. Derek Brewer had two carp for 12-14 for third.
Meanwhile, weights were tight in the BCA match at Rood Ashton near Devizes, where Joe Thompson took the top bag of carp weighing 32lb.
Graham Rose and Fred Allen tied for equal second with 24-2 each and fourth was Paul Hunt with 24lb.
Peatmoor lake fished well in the Dads and Lads event last Sunday.
Ian Didcote with 25lb 91/2 oz took the day's top weight.
He was teamed with young Ed Bryant (1lb) who not only won the Summer League 10-13 year old section but guaranteed the trophy.
Pairs runners up were William and Richard Bryant with a combined total of 30-13 and in third was Russell Willmot and Mark Ponting with 11-11.
