STORAGE space is urgently required for a historic canal boat that used to give pleasure trips in the Swindon area.
The boat which is named Willow is owned by the Calne and Chippenham branch of the Wilts and Berks Canal Trust and was built in 1952 by the Bell Woodworking Company of Leicester.
It was given to the Trust in 1997 and volunteers have restored and overhauled it.
"But boat storage fees are draining overstretched re-sources and a decision has to be taken as to whether is affordable to keep," said Trust spokesman Bob Howlett.
The six passenger boat was used to give trips on restored stretches of the old canal .
Call Mr Howlett on 01249 653448 if you can help with storing the vessel.
