WORKERS from Zurich Financial Services helped organise a car boot sale to raise funds for Druglink, the Swindon charity that helps the town's drug users.
Damien Penman, an administrator with the Station Road firm, and a team of colleagues staged the event in the Shepherd Street car park and looked to have raised more than £500 for the charity.
Mr Penman, 18, said: "Every year we have challenges and we thought a car boot sale would be a good way of raising money for a great cause so we organised it from scratch. We designed and distributed posters and it seems to have worked because the event was very well attended."
Druglink provides advice and information to people whose lives are affected by drug use. Founded in 1986, it provides a range of services, including counselling, criminal justice work, health promotion and offers support to family members of those who are taking drugs.
