A SPECIAL conducted tour has been organised so that people can discover the diverse flower and insect life of the Waterhay, one of the richest wildlife sites in the Cotswold Water Park.
It will take place on Sunday and will be led by Mornee Button, a well known local naturalist.
The Waterhay is a popular location for nature lovers from Wiltshire and Gloucestershire.
Gareth Harris, the water park's biodiversity officer, said: "This is a fantastic opportunity to learn about a variety of insects and wildflowers with one of the leading naturalists in Gloucestershire."
The two to three hour guided walk will get under way at 10am from the Waterhay car park, which is just south of Ashton Keynes (Map Ref SU060933), and signposted from the Spine road.
Walkers are advised to wear suitable shoes and waterproof clothing.
Refreshments can be purchased in the Millennium Visitor Centre after the event.
The walk is part of the programme of events entitled Wildlife Wonders of the Water Park which forms part of the Cotswold Water Park Biodiversity Action Plan.
