THE saying goes that nostalgia isn't what it used to be, but it's good to see a once popular event brought back to life with Faringdon Road Park Children's Fete returning after a gap of 64 years.
It seems many age-old traditional events are being revitalised in the 21st century as people look back fondly on the good old days.
This is an occasion that can be enjoyed by those who remember the fete the first time round and for youngsters to have fun at a new experience.
