THE Salisbury Golf Centre on Wilton Road - the city's first public golf course - is to open next week.
This new, nine-hole course will be open from Thursday, August 7 to everyone, with the proprietors especially keen to attract youngsters to the sport.
A round of golf will cost £5 (£6 at weekends). There is no membership or joining fee.
Club professional, Mark Ingram, will be on hand to give advice and lessons.
Also on the site is a golf range and a mini-golf pitch and putt for beginners and children.
The first competition to be held there will be a pub/club knock-out challenge. The first round must be played by August 25. For more details ring 01725 512794.
