POLICE are probing a mystery attack on a Porsche car in Ramsbury in which its windows were glued shut.
Now the owner is offering a reward for information that leads to the culprits being caught.
PC Graham Wallis hopes the public can help throw some light on who glued up the windows of the Porsche Boxter when it was parked in the centre of the village.
PC Wallis said someone went to the bother of painstakingly applying a bead of Superglue all along both the driver and passenger door windows.
"It would have taken a considerable time to do it and whoever did it took a lot of care," he said.
He said the owner of the Porsche did not realise for several days that the parked car had been damaged in such an unusual way. Repairs to the windows and rubber door seals are likely to cost more than £500.
The blue Boxter was parked in Oxford Street close to The Square and the damage was caused some time between July 18 and July 24.
PC Wallis said whoever had applied the glue had done it so neatly that the owner did not even notice it when he washed the car.
It was only later, when he drove the car and tried to open the windows that he found they were glued shut.
PC Wallis would like to hear from anyone who saw one or more people paying particularly close attention to the Porsche or seen acting strangely around it.
He can be contacted at Marlborough police station on (01672) 512311.
