A woman was rescued by the fire brigade after a blaze broke out in her town centre flat.
The elderly woman called firefighters at 8.45pm on Tuesday, and officers said that she was in a distressed and confused state.
Three fire engines from Swindon and Stratton fire stations went to her home in Commercial Road, Swindon, and rescued her from the smoke-logged flat. She was treated by firefighters at the scene. The cause of the fire is being investigated.
