The top of the Western Division is close. Cornwall have 65 points from five matches, Berkshire 64 from four, Shropshire 63 from five, Herefordshire 62 from five, and Wiltshire in fifth place with 61 from four.

The match against Berks sees the return of Richard Illingworth, Steve Perrin and Kevin Blackburn. James Hibberd is unavailable as he is playing for Hampshire 2nd.

Squad: Russell Rowe (South Wilts) (captain), Jason Searle (Chippenham) (vice-captain), Richard Bates (Chippenham), Richard Bedbrook (Beckenham), Kevin Blackburn (Clifton/Optimists), Chris Budd (Thornbury), Michael Coles (Bridgwater), Richard Illingworth (Barnt Green), Kevin Nash (Bashley/Rydal), Steve Perrin (Corsham), Baqar Rizvi (Barnet), Neil Shardlow (Corsham).

Wiltshire's match in the Minor Counties Championship at Camborne ended in a draw after heavy rain prevented any play on the second and third days.

On the first day Cornwall won the toss and asked Wiltshire to bat on a wet wicket with a slow outfield which made run scoring difficult.

Wiltshire made a poor start and at one time were 39-5, of which Jamie Glasson made 23.

A sixth-wicket stand of 99 between Michael Coles (27) and James Hibberd (76 not out) improved the situation, but Wiltshire's last five wickets fell for 15 runs and they were all out for 153.

Ryan Driver took 5-49 and Justin Stephens 4-62.

Cornwall started steadily but Wiltshire fought back and reduced Cornwall to 103-5 until an unbeaten sixth-wicket stand took the score to 168-5 when the rain came.

James Hibberd took 2-11, Richard Bates 2-25 and Kevin Nash 1-36.

Cornwall gained eight points and Wiltshire six.
