RICE OIL and charcoal play a big part in Bradford on Avon woman's new business venture.
And now Helen Blackburn wants local retailers to help her take her business to the next stage.
Mrs Blackburn decided to set up her own e-commerce website to work from home and originally planned to import jewellery from Asia.
But she finally plumped for selling the Earthspa range of skin care products made from Asian herbs and spices.
Helen said: "These products are unique.
"They are beautifully packaged using Asian techniques like raffia and bamboo, and all the soaps and oils have a rice oil base, so when they say they are 100 per cent natural they really are."
Mrs Blackburn launched the business last August and now has a strong customer base.
But, despite the birth of he son, James, six weeks ago, she is looking to branch out.
She said: "Things have settled down a bit at home and we are at the point where we can take on more wholesale customers.
"Our prices are good in comparison to high street stores, and it makes sense for us to deliver to local retailers."
All the products are stored at Helen's home in Bradford on Avon, and husband Andy who has a full time job of his own, is responsible for helping with the heavy work moving pallets around stocked with delicious smelling charcoal and rice soaps, moisturisers and massage oils.
Andy and Helen are confident these products will be ideal for retailers looking for new and innovative products.
The couple are totally hooked on the products themselves. Andy said: "They don't smell too strong. I use one of the oils after shaving and it completely soothes my face.
"I'm also convinced one of the massage oils had something to do with the arrival of my son."
Mrs Blackburn said: "We worry so much about what we eat but people need to think more carefully about using good food for their skin and hair as well."
