YOUNGSTERS were treated to some words of wisdom from the Australian outback at Westbury library on Tuesday.
Aussie Mick Leigh held poetry classes for children as part of his countywide scheme called The Amaz-ing Bag of Words.
Mr Leigh said: "It is an amazing feeling to see how much people enjoy poetry."
During the morning children aged eight to 10 wrote poems made from words mixed up and picked out of a hat.
The classes will be held in libraries throughout west and north Wiltshire during school holidays, including sessions in Trowbridge, Warminster and Chippenham libraries.
Mr Leigh will also be holding adult classes throughout the summer.
The children's poems will be on display at the library.
