A BRATTON toymaker has closed the doors to his workshop for the last time, after 12 years of making gifts for children around the world.
Harry Cooper, 69, used to work up to 18 hours a day building toys totalling £5m for children's charities.
Now he has hung up his tools for good after a farewell display at the West Wilts Show.
Mr Cooper said: "It started as a hobby and meant I had something to do after I was made redundant.
"But it developed into a huge project, sometimes I would wake up at 3.30am and keep working through to 9pm.
"I didn't sell the toys but worked out if I added the estimated prices together it would be well over £5 million.
"It will be a shame to finally stop but now I can at least take some time out to go fishing."
Some of the toys he made found their way to hospitals in Russia, Romania and Bosnia.
Mr Cooper has lived in Bratton for 37 years and his toy making skills have got him noticed by national television and press.
