A young woman accused of assaulting a 90-year-old man has been remanded in custody.
Victoria Watts, 23, appeared at Swindon crown court on Friday accused of causing grievous bodily harm and two counts of theft.
During the brief hearing she spoke only to confirm her name. No plea was entered and no charge was put to her. The case was adjourned for seven weeks when it is expected that Watts, of Station Road, Westbury, will enter pleas to the charges.
The man needed 80 stitches in wounds to his head following the alleged attack.
