POLICE in Bradford on Avon are trying to track down motorists' missing car bonnet badges after two mothers forced their sons to hand in their haul.
The women took their teenage sons to the police station on Monday to hand in a bag of 10 car badges the boys had taken from cars parked in the town.
PC Gary Jones said: "Obviously the mothers of these two lads wanted what they were doing to stop, and although we have placed seven of the badges, we still need to find homes for the last three."
PC Jones is now trying to trace the owners of a Vauxhall car, possibly green, either a Cavalier or Carlton make, which was parked in Southville Road.
Another car missing its badge is a Honda, possibly red, parked in Southway Park.
The last car they need to trace is an Opal, which may have been parked in Avonfield Avenue.
Anyone who is missing the badges is asked to contact PC Jones on (01225) 862222.
