TWENTY consultants from seven companies are responsible for drawing up the long-awaited Vision for Trowbridge framework.
A third of the 60-acre town centre is open for redevelopment with a final design due in a month's time.
Urban planners Gillespies are leading the consultation team with representatives from engineers Arups, Jon Rowland Urban Design, Alder King, BDOR, Cotswold Archaeological Trust and David, Langdon and Everest all involved.
So far £645,000 has been set aside by project partners West Wiltshire District Council and the South West Regional Development Agency to fund the consultation process.
Trowbridge Town Council and Wiltshire County Council are the other partners behind the concept.
Developers in the town have been asked to put plans on hold while
the framework is being drawn up.
